Green olive hummus

Adding green olives to hummus brightens and lightens up this classic dip. Choose your favorite kind of green olives, different varieties will result in different flavors.

- 2 cups boiled chickpeas, drained
- 10 large green olives, pitted
- 2 garlic cloves, mashed
- 1 Tablespoon tahini
- 1/2 lemon, juiced (or more, to taste)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- a pinch cayenne
- sea salt, to taste

Garnish with:
- extra virgin olive oil
- 3 Kalamata olives, pitted and minced
- 1 green olive, pitted and sliced
- a tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped, finely

Place the chickpeas and the rest of the ingredients into the blender and process until you reach a creamy consistency. Adjust seasonings to your taste, scoop the hummus into the serving bowl and garnish. Enjoy!
